How to Help Hurricane Helene Victims in North Carolina

Hurricane Helene left devastation across the Eastern United States. But nowhere was harder hit than North Carolina. The storm left unprecedented destruction further inland than any storm in history.

The area around Asheville, North Carolina was the most ravaged with entire small communities destroyed, leaving people without homes, power, food, and other supplies.

Now, North Carolinians need the essential aid and personal kindness that Iowans are known for.

These are the organizations on the ground that have enough people to reach residents with aid. They need donations to keep their mission of feeding people and helping them with essentials. Unfortunately, with this level of damage, it will be a long time before parts of North Carolina return to normalcy.
