From the City of Des Moines:

The City of Des Moines is sharing with the world a unique new live view of the downtown skyline and other downtown attractions.

The City of Des Moines has installed a skycam on top of City Hall at 400 Robert D. Ray Drive that is continuously streaming on the City of Des Moines YouTube channel.

The City will use the camera to capture and share video and timelapse of major weather systems as they pass through the downtown area and events in the area.

The camera will also provide live views of snow removal efforts downtown, the Women of Achievement Bridge, Brenton Skating Plaza, and the Capitol Dome.

The camera is available to view 24/7 at DSM.city/SkyCam, broadcasts regularly on DMTV (Mediacom Channel 7), and is available on YouTube (see below).
