Get ready for one of the Iowa State Fair’s most unique competitions — the 47th Annual ESPN Des Moines Cow Chip Throwing Contest on Wednesday, Aug. 19 at 11 am at Pioneer Hall at the Iowa State Fairgrounds!

Think you can throw a dried cow chip farther than everyone else? Step up and give it a shot! Keep an eye out for some of our station jocks participating too. Whether you compete or cheer from the sidelines, it’s an event you won’t want to miss!
