State Fair Lemonade


  • ¾ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 3-4 lemons)
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 4 cups of water
  • Sprigs of fresh mint for decoration  (optional)

In a large pitcher, place the lemon juice, sugar, and water; stir until the sugar dissolves. Pour into tall glasses filled with ice cubes.  Each glass may be decorated with a sprig of fresh mint.

Variation: ½ cup of freshly squeezed orange juice may be added to the mixture to produce a slightly less tart taste.
