Ingredients
- Two 12 oz. pkgs turkey sausage OR Jimmy Dean Reduced Fat Pork Sausage
- 3 cups onion/garlic croutons
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 eggs
- 2 ¼ cups milk
- ¾ teaspoon dry mustard
- 1 ½ lbs. frozen hash browns (prefer Mr. Dells shredded hash browns)
- 1 10-oz can cream of mushroom soup
- ½ cup milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Directions
- Brown sausage in skillet, stirring until crumbly; drain.
- Layer croutons, sausage and cheese evenly in greased 9-by-13-inch baking dish.
- Beat eggs with 2½ cups milk and dry mustard in mixer bowl. Pour over layers.
- Chill, covered, overnight.
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
- Add generous layer of shredded hash browns.
- Pour mixture of soup and ½ cup milk over potatoes and sprinkle with last cup of cheese.
- Bake for 1½ hours.
- Let stand for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
