Double Chocolate Cherry Chunk Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 ¾ cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 bag of semisweet chocolate chips or chocolate chunks
  • 1 small bag of dried cran-cherries (Ocean Spray in baking section)

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt in small bowl, set aside
  • In large bowl, combine butter/margarine, sugar, brown sugar. Then beat in egg and vanilla.
  • Gradually beat in flour mixture
  • Stir in chocolate chips/chunks and cran-cherries
  • Drop cookies onto cookie sheets with small or medium scooper or large tablespoon
  • Bake 11 to 12 minutes. Cookies will be slightly soft. Do not over bake.
