California Turkey Sandwich Ring

Ingredients

  • 2 PKGS (11 OZ. EACH) REFRIGERATED FRENCH BREAD DOUGH
  • 1 RIPE AVOCADO, PEELED AND PITTED
  • 1/4 C. CHOPPED ONION
  • 1 LIME
  • 1/4 C REDUCED FAT MAYO
  • 1 SMALL GARLIC CLOVE, PRESSED
  • 1/8 TSP SALT
  • 1/2 C. PITTED RIPE OLIVES, SLICED
  • 2 TOMATOES, SLICED
  • 2 C. THINLY SLICED LETTUCE OR ALFALFA SPROUTS
  • 8 OZ. SLICED DELI TURKEY BREAST
  • 8 SLICES (1 OZ. EACH) MONTERREY JACK CHEESE WITH JALAPENO PEPPERS

Directions

  • PREHEAT OVEN TO 350 DEGREES. PLACE DOUGH SEAM SIDE DOWN ON LARGE ROUND BAKING STONE OR COOKIE SHEET. JOIN ENDS OF DOUGH TOGETHER TO FORM ONE LARGE RING. USING SERRATED KNIFE MAKE EIGHT DIAGONAL CUTS, 1/2 INCH DEEP, ON TOP OF DOUGH. BAKE 26-28 MINUTES OR UNTIL DEEP GOLDEN BROWN. COOL.
  • MEANWHILE MASH AVOCADO, CHOP ONION, AND SQUEEZE 2 TEASPOONS OF JUICE FROM LIME. ADD THESE THREE INGREDIENTS TO THE MAYONNAISE, GARLIC & SALT MIXING WELL.
  • CUT BREAD IN HALF HORIZONTALLY WITH SERRATED KNIFE. SPREAD AVOCADO MIXTURE EVENLY OVER BOTH SIDES OF BREAD. SPRINKLE OLIVES OVER BOTTOM HALF OF BREAD. TOP WITH TURKEY, TOMATOES, CHEESE AND LETTUCE OR ALFALFA SPROUTS. PLACE TOP HALF OF BREAD OVER SANDWICH. CUT INTO WEDGES.
