Heather and I had a ball (and lost a few!) yesterday, in the Principal Charity Classic Media Golf Outing at Wakonda Club! This was a chance to see how the course is set-up for it’s inaugural hosting of the perennial Champion’s Tour event in Des Moines, May 28 – June 2. Wakonda is a great course for fans and players alike. The layout is compact, scenic and provides many “natural” gallery areas on slopes and hillsides, in addition to the staged seating, hospitality areas and point-of-view venues around the course. And getting to Wakonda is a snap! Just park in Waterworks and take one of the many shuttles to the course site. Two-time U.S. Open champion Curtis Strange has committed to play in his first appearance at The Principal Charity Classic. Strange joins a stellar list of previously committed players including Champions Tour rookies Rocco Mediate and Steve Elkington. Veterans Fred Funk and Nick Price will be among the field. Maybe one of them will find the half dozen balls Heather and I left in the oak woods and tall rough around the course!- Maxwell

A man claims he recently caught Bigfoot on tape in the woods of Crowder Mountain, North Carolina. Experts say the tape is a hoax and features shaky camera work, a man in a gorilla suit and a sheet, which ‘Bigfoot’ uses to cover himself.
