KIOA’s 40 Mentors in 30 Days

KIOA’s 40 Mentors in 30 Days

KIOA needs mentors and we need your help! It’s KIOA’s “40 Mentors in 30 Days,” Presented by Mediacom Careers – Giving Kids the Power to Succeed. Mentor Iowa currently has many children on the waiting list for a mentor that can make a difference in their life.

Becoming a Mentor
Mentors are good listeners, caring friends, confidence builders, and ordinary people. Some are professionals, others are homemakers, retirees, or students. While some volunteers are married, many others are single. All it takes is six hours per month and you can make a positive impact in a child’s life.

All volunteer mentors inherently possess the two most significant mentor requirements:

  1. The ability to become a friend
  2. The desire to make a difference in the life of a child
