I had wanted an MG Midget since the first day they arrived on the sales lots. Couldn’t afford one then. Several years back I was visiting home (Alabama) and there just a few miles from my dad’s house, on the side of the road, with a For Sale sign, was an MG Midget. My dad, my brother, my son and I decided to just go take a look at it. Still couldn’t afford it, but it was a pretty little thing. I got to drive it around the block. When I got back, my dad handed me the keys and said “Happy Birthday, Merry Christmas and whatever else is coming up.” He’d bought it for me! So, I pulled it back to Iowa behind my van. I drive it during the summer months. It’s been in the Iowa State Fair parade a few times. It’s the Bicentennial model, thus the red/white and blue.
