We got the bug in April 2013 it was still 100% stock with a locked up engine and very rough condition. We set a goal to have it running by July for 2013 Goodguys car show. After many long nights and many set backs the Bug was completed the morning of the Goodguys show. Its been lowered about 5″ in the front and about 6″ in the rear. Sandblasted the rims added many coats of gloss white paint and 3″ whitewalls. Polished all the chrome by hand while watching tv to pass the time. The interior was refreshed with new carpet and seat covers. Made it thru the show constantly tuning on the carburetor and getting timing just right. Our 3 kids just love riding around and seeing all the people wave and give us thumbs up. I love how people will stop to tell me stories about the bug they had or their parents had and they just talk and talk. The two tone paint is new for this year. And we are hoping to redo the seats with some new lowbacks from Procar this winter.20140502_134825IMG_20140419_114432
